Has this idea ever been tested? If not, it should be removed from the Rulebook.

Marco Vitale held competitions in Italy where they used this idea. If I remember correctly, they had 2 rounds on the same course (maybe 3, but I remember only 2). I have not been to any of these competitions so unfortunately I do not have personal experience. I know Adam Gerza, Jonas Jorgensen and Adrian Delacroix have been to at least 1 of these events.
My personal opinion on this idea: I can see how it rewards consistency and I think that is great; and I imagine that it is good to use these rules for events that are mainly focused on the Trials competition. I would love to try them myself! :) I will try to use these rules at the Hungarian Championships this year so that I get some hands-on experience (not sure if we can, as we usually are kind of short on time...).
At Unicon though, I imagine this could be a problem with managing the competition area? Running these rules at Unicon would require at least 2 days for Trials Prelims, which would either mean less time for building or less time for other competitions in the same area.
